Liberty Day History Display from 2010--pt. 19

The second board with paper soldiers depicted the 1798 Battle of the Pyramids in Egypt. Napoleon won the battle against the British-allied Mamluks and became very popular in France. He would use his reputation as a great general to gain his election as Emperor of France. Napoleon was forced out of Egypt because his fleet was destroyed at the Battle of the Nile.

Yup, we do!
Of course the question begging to be asked is...
Why do you ask?

Well, the Merry family (one of the families in our church) is hosting the Wintons Father & Son band for a house concert, and they asked us to invite friends and family, so I was wondering if y'all would be interested in coming down and seeing them. I know it's a drive, but I thought I'd ask anyway-you never know. The concert will be 7:00 P.M. on May 17th in Batavia. If you want me to pass along the invite email that the, I'll give you mine, then you can block the comment in which I give you my email (or the Merry's, if you wish), and send me (or them) your address privately by email, to ensure that the passing of emails stays private.

The Wintons' website is www.thewintonsbluegrass.com. If you know about them, you probably know that they've performed at the Vision Forum Father & Son retreats, as well as the SAICFF.

BTW, Even if you can't make it yourselves, feel free to pass the information on to friends as well.

Thank you so much!

I don't believe we will be able to make the trip there at that time, but we greatly appreciate the invitation.

God bless your thoughtfulness!
